To keep the record straight the Shvetsov ASh-82FN installed on the FlugWerk FW-190 is NOT a copy of the BMW-801 and never was...
It is a design evolved from the M-25, itself a licensed copy of the R-1820 Wright Cyclone.
The other engine which can also be installed on the FlugWerk FW-190 (I mean, by FlugWerk) is the Chinese modified copy of the Shvetsov ASH-82V, the Dongan HS-7.

Funnily enough the BMW-801 was a remote derivative of the Pratt and Whitney Hornet:

Hornet (1X9Cyl) -> licensed copy as BMW114 -> improved as BMW132 -> doubled as BMW-139 (2X9cyl) -> BMW-801 (2X7 cyl)
