I think the whole SoW monikker was a better marketing tool that calling it IL2 Cliffs of Dover.. The Storm of War handle would have separated it from IL2.
You nailed it Bearcat, they need a title for the series of flight sims not just a title a flight sim.

You could start with North Africa and add Italy as an expansion pack.
