I totally agree with you there, although unlike you i didnt have prejudices with this game/sim.

it's really not half bad.

However i have some other problems with the game aswell. For some weird reason i can't trim my aircraft. Which makes it nearly unplayable, also for some weird reason button configuration for my Thrustmaster HOTAS X is really annoying to do well in the game. I suspect i'm used to il-2 controls which i cant 'clone' over to WOP.

I say: it's a pretty good game, no it's not il-2, but for 5 euro's i mean c'mon.

Its great for $5 - I would even pay the full 20 for it. I had probs with my joystick too (no presets) which is a Logitech Extreme 3DPRO. Eventually got it sorted out. As for trim it is only activated in simulation mode and I believe there is a key for it (its also in one of the tutorials).
Normally I play on realistic mode though, I often have trouble without the visual aids for identifying aircraft...
