So it's your work pc you want Sow to run smooth on?
Plus the other game pc?
Then why do you care about the first one?

Hey, can't a chap run the game on a work PC? many people do, even if they have a seperate gaming rig set aside for serious gaming.
But I'm just being pedantic, clearly. Not all of us are made of money, and I'm not some tech nerd. from what I could see, such a rig was quite good and from reviews i've read on overclockers, can run crysis maxed out etc.
A year or two ago I had one chap try and convince me, on an Il-2 forum, that SoW would easily run on a gaming system of that time (this is pre DX11) His argument was that games nowadays are much better optimized for the current technology. Whether or not he is correct, at least SoW can run on such a system.
I mean, the tweaks that I think need to be make are hardly groundbreaking. If a hedge was one object it could run with a higher fps than a few trees, and so if there were, say, a dozen hedges on screen, I can't see that causing a huge performance drop. As for clouds, well, in every sense the way the model would be changed to give a flat bottom would trim it of the excess at the base; thus making it smaller. This might cause more of a performance drop, but it's been done in other sims, and I can't see it being an issue...
my point is that I'm not asking for the map to be littered with craters 30ft deep. These are just cosmetic details; they aren't groundbreaking.
Anyway, I don't want to argue about this. I'm really enjoying watching the progress of this sim and tbh i don't care what you think about my opinions; or what you care about things I've said in the past. please, this is the internet, not real life; i have nothing to prove to you, so stop caring.
