Thoughts on AvP

To all UK guys having trouble joining games still, I think they've released a fixed version (I hear the US one is fine)... But you need to delete it then re-download it. I've done this, but not tried it yet...

I've not had any issues at all when playing the demo, finding a game (as a lone player) has always been easy! Search usually take no more than a minute.

Maybe im just lucky.

It's because you're on xbox and that's the only version that worked.. PC & PS3 were broken.

yep i had the demo for 360 and ps3,the ps3 one was a bit screwed.anyone know when hmv will send my copy i want it NOW!!!

I haven't tested it yet, but a mate has and he says he's having zero trouble finding games now - so much so that he racked up an 18 kill streak as a predator

If you're still playing the demo on PS3, go download the new one

Heads up for those who havnt pre ordered yet that amazon have it up for £34.99. I reckon I am going to forgo the face hugger model and get that deal. I am guessing those 4 maps will be about 8 quid

just found this on game.co.uk regarding the extra maps for avp hunter and survivor editions

"The maps will be released one at a time for download on a weekly basis after the game launches. After this time they will be available to download via Xbox Live and PlayStation Network"

it's fixed.. games all over the place.

And it only took 20 mins to download. (3 hours last time)

Hunter edition looks good if you are a diehard collector
Survivor edition isn't worth the extra money over the normal one. The Pre order skins on the regular version is a much better deal in my opinion so that what im getting.

The extra maps will be mostly useless untill they are available for all to download. I remember I got the SE version of Lost Planet which had extra maps. I could never find anyone playing them online, every game was played on the regular maps. Then when they were available for everyone to buy as a download the extra maps were used much much more.
