On topic though, arcade aces versus sim aces... I smell a grudge match, though maybe you'd have to have a match in arcade then in sim and aggregate the scores.

I all fairness -

If i play someone who plays arcade alot (not an ace) on arcade difficulty, then withouth a doubt they will win hands down. They will slaughter me. Why i don't know but arcade i cannot play at all, i get beaten by everyone.

Now if i play that same player on sim mode, then the tables turn. I will beat win. The gap between arcade and sim is huge, And its pretty much common knowledge that us sim players are out of our depth on arcade mode haha.

I play mainly on realistic( I can't shoot down a bloody thing on arcade!) I really would like to get involved with Sim but I find most Sim players I meet online are die hard fans & players, so Sim rookies just get shot down very quickly, with no way of gaining any experience . I realize that that is how it would be in a real life situation. (survival of the fittest so to speak! ) Maybe we need to attend a Sim flight school?

Stick low to the ground and use the map a lot. It's usually first to see the target wins on sim, although keeping the target in view is important.

And having recently learned that the aviator layout for controller isn't available on XBox, I don't see how you could stand a chance against someone with a flight stick... I certainly couldn't/wouldn't play sim with the default controller configuration.

this thread is where you've taken it to arcade versus sim, this thread was meant for arcade players, get your own threads ....no wait you do tonnes of them. i've played many of you so called sim aces when the game had just been released and only a few are worth being remembered. So take your 'theres no aces in arcade' rubbish else where

How old are you?

You need to get off your high horse i think and see that theirs no anamosity or hatred in this thread! Just friendly banter between forum regulars. If you dont like it then i suggest in future you do not start threads off.

Sim guys have openly said (read up i posted it in here!) that the arcade guys are good at what they do, and the arcade guys have said we are good at what we do. We all get along as a group and respect each other.

Please keep it on a decent level and perhaps join in the banter

The remark about "no aces in arcade" was clearly a joke by stealth as was the "theirs no aces on ps3"

You must be the only one who doesnt see that. Are you now going to go on the defensive about the PS3 because someone said something bad about it? Don't be so negative and perhaps join in with whats being said, You'll enjoy this forum alot more if you do

He asks your age because of the way you come across, and honestly from the posts in this tread i'd be suprised if you're older than 12.

I have never met with any elitism by anyone on this forum. If somebody says they only play Sim, that's because they enjoy it!
Likewise with Arcade or realistic, i don't feel there is any need to justify one as being above other, we all enjoy different things!
