Not interested in other MP games so looks like I will be flying with a just few die hards, think the time has come to manually add any other like minded BOP fans to my friends list.

Well everybody knows Call of Duty is the greatest game of all time and if you don't play Call of Duty nobody will like you

And if you go around saying "Call of Duty, Call of Duty" it will make you happy

who cares if it turns people into a herd of freaking cows

join the stampede or be run over, is how Call of Duty works. Same as Halo. Same as all the other 10 or so "greatest shooters of all time." They're all the same game, you point, shoot and jump, but nobody cares.

I think Call of Duty is really a mind control device sent to Earth by aliens. Eventually everyone who plays Call of Duty is gonna be subliminally programmed to walk to Area 51 where the alien ship will collect them and haul them off to a distant planet to be served up in a fancy restaurant.

I can't be the only one who isn't the least bit interested in COD. Its quality not quantity that makes a game in MP. No problem getting games on SIM (so far and a great bunch of guys too!) despite the popularity of the release of COD MW2 which is to be expected given the hype. I suppose you are either an Xbox fan and always waiting for the next shooter or a Flight Sim Fan and I'm the latter. I liked Gears, Halo, Brothers In Arms but only as SP and it was the release of BOP that I actually bought Gold membership for. People will migrate from game to game but for me its BOP or nothing on MP! If the patch does make it then I think quite few will return but, patch or no patch, BOP has it all for me and if there are only a few of us left then that suits me fine..............

I was once a big fan of shooter games... until I gave them a try online
Nothing more frustrating than having a seemingly realistic game, getting a hang of the controls, starting to think that ur actually getting good at it and that this game could actually be like a real combatzone, until u play MP... then u see guys running at you, avoiding evry shells u fire at them by doin some crazy zigzag-polka dance and finally getting their kills with a knife while u emptied 5 clips on their ass not even hitting em once...

I agree. I get slaughtered in online shooters like halo and cod. I've grown tired of them. I like adventure type shooters. Find things, unlock things, upgrades, treasures. Stuff like that. I'm in gamefly and cod mw2 is not in my que. Actually, I can't quit playing bop long enough to get anything else in the ps3, period.

I would play shooters again if any developer would fix this age-old problems:

) nobody cares if they get killed, it's always a banzai charge to get the high KDR. Real fights aren't like that.

) at close range, it is too easy to dodge and jump around and avoid being shot. knife fights are even stupider. It's not hard to aim at and hit someone 2 feet away with a knife, except in shooters.

) nobody has ever made realistic damage, few have no powerups, and none have mmo battles that last all day. MAG might be ok, I haven't seen it yet.
