They are wonderfully addictive, Sal bought the run and eglu and Poach and Scramble before we got together, then I moved in with her and the chickens And I probably spend more time with them fussing over them than she does. lol

And it was actually me encouraging her to get more, and unfortunately when scramble passed, we decided to get 3 more, rather than just 1.

But on the forums there are lists of what they can and can't eat, and there's a chicken clinic which is very helpful and supportive. But unfortunately chickens hide illnesses VERY well, so they're very hard to treat. But don't let it scare you, most things are quite rare or easy to treat.

and I love that on a flight sim forum there's an epic discussion about chickens, a relatively flightless bird

oh yes wing clipping is quite easy, but still quite scary cus you cant cut too far back or they bleed. but having seen a pro do it, it's actually very easy to cut the primary flight feather back to the length of the secondary feathers.

Dazz, by the looks of it mate unless you live in a mansion with lots of space, you dont need anymore pets. Unless you cook some of them now to make room

nah foz mate no mansion but a very large garden we live on the edge of town so we are surrounded by farm fields as well

the guniea pigs the 6 females have there own shed it has a hutch with a ramp that is there sleeping quarters and the floor of the shed is covered with wood chippings and saw dust and the 2 males have there own hutch outside its a 2 tier thing so they have a sleeping part and a bit to do whatever it is they do in the day lol

and the rats live in there gage on a shelf in the guniea pig shed

so its only the 3 dogs and the fishtank in the house mate

@house me and kim have decided we are going to get some chicks after christmas BUT..... i was looking on that omlet site and ive kinda fell in love with the idea of getting a runner duck!!!!! i think they look great but will have to do some more reserch and see if they can be kept with the chicks or will i have to buy 2 egloos

now see what youve got me into house lmao!!!

lol awesome! they are addictive! if Sal would let me I'd buy an Eglu cube, build a walk in run, and but another 6

well send me a PM if your interested in seeing how we run Hentanimo Bay and we'll set something up at your convenience.

We've just gone through the hardest part of keeping chickens, which is introducing new birds to an original flock. And we have been very lucky. so if we can do it, anyone can keep chickens

oh and as far as keeping runner ducks with chickens, ask of the forums, i guarantee someone will know!
