Pretty much. I haven't used them much in any other context. I might get brave tonight and see what else that can do.

The P-47 is a beast but has some serious draw backs. Fantastic in a dive and those 8 .50's shred anything you can get a bead on. Unfortunately those are the only positives. It's very slow in a climb and turns like my Grandma's 74 Cadillac Eldorado. It can take a lot of damage but is a very large target for your foes to see. Also anytime you get that nose pointed down it drops like a rock. Aiming the guns is another problem... that is a lot of mass to get pointed in one direction, once there good luck adjusting your firing position.

The Ta 152 is interesting at best. Being a high alt interceptor all of it's advantages are negated by the alt limit. It starts to handle nicely at 10,000 ft. It can climb like no other though. It's OK in a turn above 7,000 but anything below that it's very sluggish. It's got great fire power and a high roll rate. But it makes for a huge target. I want to try it a a BnZer but after taking it out a few times and getting chewed apart I have yet to get the courage up again. With most of the online fights at 1000 ft or lower it just wasn't designed for that kind of fight. The one time I had success with it was on a strike mission filled with B-17's. Aiming for the wing this thing just chewed the heavies apart! I could usually take them down in a single pass.

Hope that helps.
Sincere thanks for the input...I went ahead anyhow last night and got them on a whim...you are bang on...the hight alt ta152 does not want to turn and seeing as 99% of combat is sub 2000ft its fairly redundant...I haven't tried it in an anti B17 role yet but defo will do on the next smug B17 on a 1943 limit strike game...
P47 is like flying the entire freezer section of a supermarket...but it has monster bomb and rocket options and scrubs airfields sparkling clean of toublesome opponents. Can't wait to try it on strike...do rockets work on B17s? If they don't I just might have to kamikaze...

Every opponent ive come across has not been able to hit me with a rocket while in the B-17, but then again most people who try to take me with rockets just fire them all in one go leaving them no chance to cause a hit.

How do they handle on realistic/sim? A penny for your kind thoughts please ladies and gentlepeeps...(ps considering purchasing...)
P-47 dives like a rock, and the online fighting never takes place where the Ta-152 shines: high altitude.

Mind you, I've only used them a handful of times, so next time I'm on I'll fire them up to really get a better idea.

(BtW I got the code from a giveaway that gamepro.com had 2 weeks ago.)

LOL didn't see Jkerr's post. Glad you found the site finally, Kerr!

Default How do you GET them?

I pre-ordered my BOP back in May, and saw the promo for them, but never got any code or anything to get them? I pre-ordered mine from Amazon, so how do I get the code for the bonus planes I was promised through pre-order?

Frtiz Lol yeah I found it a week back but was too busy at work to sign up.

Juz1 Thanks! I tried some BnZ in the Jug last night with less then spectacular results. Took too much time gaining an alt advantage and with it's diving speed makes for an interesting approach on target. Me an the gound became great friends!!
