Well, I've completed the first set of missions in the Battle Of Britain in Sim mode and thought that I'd drop a note for those who have yet to get the game.
The mission structure is great and I didn't have too much trouble with target recognition which was my biggest concern for Sim mode. Honestly, after all of the practice with the demo, it was a joy to fly the very forgiving Hurricane. The missions are varied with subtle differences in lighting effects.
The landing portion of the missions feels a bit tacked on for a few reasons such as the artificial timer in some instances, the repetitive 'victory' music and the lack of wheel brakes with flight sticks.
One aspect that I like is that, if you don't hustle to complete an objective, it's very likely that your squadron will take care of this for you. This really enhances the feel of teamwork.
It looks like the campaign does a little bit of jumping back and forth between campaigns which I think is great and will hopefully help highlight differences in plane handling. Well, I'm off the the Eastern front. See ya suckers.
