advice needed, Game no longer loads - Exception error

Hi,

I purchased this game from steam and has been working fine for last few weeks. This evening when i tried i get this error message.

Exception
String Expected (esdlreader.cpp,287)
----------------------------------------

After this message the game falls back to windows. A reinstall hasnt fixed this error. Any suggestions are very welcome.
