DX10 vs DX9 Differences?
Does anyone see any difference between DX9 and DX10 modes? That would be ShaderModel 3/4. I currently have it set to 3.0, it gives me 5 fps more. Also set shadows to medium, 10 fps increase. Medium shadows result in hard edged shadows, not the soft ones.
Playing at 1680x1050 with everything on max except shadows and currently alternating between SM 3 & SM 4. My Specs: C2D E8400 @ 4.2 GHz 8800 GT 750/2000/1900 4 GB OCZ 1066 MHz eVGA 750i FTW
