I don't blame Oleg, as I'm sure he has always done his best.
Development must have been going okay up until about 18 months or so ago when OM made the official announcement of being in a position to provide regular updates again (SiMHQ carried a sticky of this for about a year). After that, things became very quiet indeed. As much as I don't want to admit it, for fear it may be true; it really does seem like after this point, some unforseen event has pushed the development schedule far back again.
Somewhere following Oleg's statement that SoW "
has to be " released in 2007 (see his video interview with MysticPuma) and the recent interview where he says work didn't begin in earnest until 1946 was released, there is that grey area where SoW's development history to date seems to have been rewritten.
I hope one day Oleg will write his tell-all autobiograhy and say what really happened. I would sure make for one Hell of a read!
