smoke and flame ?

I have installed Cliffs of Dover through steam with no problems

impressive but 1 problem

no matter how much lead i put into an enemy aircraft there is no smoke and flame from the plane !!

is there a patch that fixes this problem ?

I plan to purchase battle of Stalingrad and I hope the same problem does not exist with battle of Stalingrad ?
