I have many problems trying to install Saitek X52 Pro in my Windows 7 pc (everything updated to the last version, drivers etc).
I am interested only in the throttle with its rotaries etc (I am happy with my T16000 joystick) So, I followed the instructions in every detail but the pc froze during the process an my only solution was to backup the pc to a previous point (before installing Saitek drivers) and remove Saitek drivers, files etc ! I tried to install it on my old laptop (XP only USB2.0) and everything was ok). I googled internet and it seems to be a known problem: the incompatibility between Saitek drivers and xHCI/USB 3.0. To tell the truth I connected to Saitek cable to a USB2.0 but anyway the problem should be connected to che xHCI … The solutions seems to be to disintall/disable it but I do not know what could happen to my pc … will it be reversible or not ? and I should rule out the USB3.0 I have a few questions, but feel free to ignore them, I could understand you: - Do you know if I can connect the Saitek X52 PRO plug&play without any driver from Saitek ? should it work ? because I would like to use the throttle and all the rotaries on it - Do you know xHCI and how and what to do if I want to solve the problem without crashing my pc ?? |
