Angry 0 damage bug

I created this account specifically to complain about the (apparently very common at least a year old) 0 damage bug.

In case you haven't heard of it for some reason what it does is instantly kill off an entire stack, regardless of strength, size or level, by doing 0 damage to it, usually but not necessarily via secondary damage effects (poison/fire/frost/chain lightning). The bug is most common in artifact suppression and hero fights, but accrues in regular battles as well and exponentially increases in frequency as the game progresses.

This bug is downright gamebreaking. I am at the Greenwart continent area at the moment and it's gotten to the point where I've lost two stacks (68 Horsemen and 66 Maidens) in under one hour of gameplay, the latter of which was lost to the poison arrow of a single surviving skeleton archer almost half an hour after the last time I saved the game, which compelled me to quit the game in disgust and seek out your forum specifically to complain about it.

I don't know if I can bring myself to keep on playing the game in this state, which is a damn shame since it is otherwise a great game. Yesterday I've had a battle in which I lost 2 whole stacks worth roughly 9000 leadership each to the ricochet of a single lightning bolt spell while trying to upgrade a level 1 staff.

Doing a quick Google search reveals complaints of this bug as far back as February 2013, so I'm far less inclined to be forgiving about this bug then I usually would be...
