smoke_black_big5 not showing

quick question, everytime I start a game in the editor, my added smoke_black_big5, from the fx category, can never be seen, how can I get around this?

oh yeh 2 more question lol, where can an american heavy machine gun be located, like the kind where it takes two soldiers to operate it, also any tips/shortcuts, where all 2 man operated heavy machine guns can be located, like all natioins, and how can I shorten a map, to improve stability and gameplay, like with I think the polygon option, only its always greyed out, and is there a much quicker way than the polygon option, thanks.
