Default Strange Shading Issue

I recently attempted an update to most recent WHQL Nvidia drivers (306.97).

After updating, I noticed that when I spawned my aircraft I didn't have any shadows applying to the aircraft. The aircraft exterior was dark, as if inside a hangar, and the sun did not play across its surface at all. Everything else seemed okay.

Other aircraft in the sim also had the same appearance.

Now, I was able to get the sunlight to apply to aircraft, but I can't say how it was accomplished. I tried spawning outside of hangars, spawning online on ATAG server, etc. etc. Various things worked and then didn't work.

I'm trying uninstalling the game entirely and reinstalling, but I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this.

I have an eVGA 580 GTX vid card, an i7 940 processor, 12 GB of system ram. I've reverted back to 306.23 drivers and I'm reinstalling the game right now. I was also running the SweetFX injector for a while with no issues before this happened.
