Default 50 fpsec but video not smooth (new "texture tile lag" shudder, or "macro freeze" ?))

fpsec have improved significantly since the patch for me, and after tweaking the rest of my pc (ide drivers, video drivers etc) i now get around 50 fpsec during flight most of the time (45 fpsec taxing on the ground, and some similar drop of fpsec over highly buildup area's)

this is good news, with the previous +/- 25 fpsec on medium settings before the patch the game wasnt really playable on my poor little i5 dualcore @ 3.5 with 8 gb ram and ati 5770 (1 gb), win 7 64 bit etc..

but oddly, even at 50 fpsec the video is not perfectly smooth now, there is a new type of stutter/shudder/macro-freeze problem still happening that is different from the microfreezes that affected CoD prior to the patch.
- while i am stationary on the ground and watch aircraft/vehicles move around me, no problems
- once i start my takeoff run and start gaining altitude the problem becomes perceptible: the scenery is just not moving smoothly past my field of vision, it does move smoothly for a few sec (depending what direction i look, it is most severe when looking sideways out of the cockpit, not so obvious looking straight ahead) but then it is as if the scenery tile i was looking at lags a little and then zips past at the last sec in an accelerated manner while the next tile enters the field of vision, it is not a 100% smooth transition looking/viewing the landscape
- the problem is not apparent when closing in on aircraft while there is a sky background, or when over the sea/water.

anybody else experiencing anything similar, or have any suggestions on what settings to check/alter ?

looking at pc resources in use, cpu load is very low amongst the 2 cores and 4 threads, but about 7 of the 8 gb of ram is in use. i am still using medium settings for tree's and building density (as i was prior to the latest beta patch), no shadows, but most of the other options turned up.

the microfreezes that were so obvious before the patch seem to be gone, but now there is this new "non-smooth" video macro-stutter. not sure if its a new bug, modified old micro-freeze bug, or something in my settings
