jdome - a step towards 180° FOV?
Just stumbled upon this all new product.
It's a half-spheric projection-screen that can be used for background-projection to simulate a nearly 180° FOV. So far it seems only the prototype exists, but it could be a real step into full immersion if used with a homebuilt cockpit:  http://www.jdome.com/ The funny thing is, the inventor only had Ego-Shooters in mind, but I think this could be really great for flightsims!
