I like the AFTER cockpit shots a LOT better.
The BEFORE shots with the harsh shadows look like the light source is from a pinpoint - or if the scene was lit by the sun during a solar eclipse a minute or so before totality. (yes, I have been fortunate enough to experience a total solar eclipse in good weather) The AFTER shots look much more natural. The light source is a bit more difuse so that the lighting levels are not unaturally contrasty. Keep up the good work.
