I have made the experience that darkness in Il-2 greatly depends on your monitor. With my ancient CRT I couldn't see anything at night, except light sources. Since I bought a TFT the landscape is almost as visible as during daytime, even the colours. Completly the opposite experience than flying through the arctic night in FSX. I hope in BOB it will be similar.
