Does your Crossfire work ok?

I've noticed a few people mentioning that their Crossfire/SLI is now working, either since the last retail patch or as a result of their own efforts.

Try as I might, however, I cannot get my 5770's to use CloD at all - a single card gives me a nice steady(ish) 30fps at mostly medium settings, but switching XFire on cuts that to 15-18 with massive peaks and troughs, and horrific stutter.

So - has anyone else got their ATI Crossfire working? I'm particularly interested in hearing from crossfired single gpu users (e.g 2 x 5770, 2 x 4870 etc), as the dual-gpu cards, while using crossfire seem to do it differently and have their own set of issues etc. In the absence of a proper profile from AMD, what do you guys do?
