Is Russia overpowered online?
Hey guys, been playing Men of War for over a year now and one thing really pisses me off online. I've played 90 games online, almost exclusively tanks only(but even when not the issue is still clear) and the Russian team ALWAYS wins.
Tanks only - From my point of view the best tank faction is Germany and SHOULD be able to stand up to nearly all Russian tanks. Early-game the T-34/76 and /57 dominate the Pz. IV G and H, mid-game the Tiger and Panther are somehow beaten by KV-85 and IS-1, and late-game the KT always loses to the IS-3. Russian tanks seems to be better than any other nations' equivalent while also being cheaper. My most recent game, Germany vs. Russia tanks only, resulted in another defeat. One really annoying part was a T-34/85's front armour bouncing a Nashorn shot at 70 metres(!?!?!?) but things like this seem to happen all the time. The IS-3's front armour isn't extremely thick but can bounce the KT's shots over and over again while the King tiger's 180mm armour sloped at 55 degrees is pierced almost without question even at long range by the 122mm. Then there's the ISU-152. It's very cheap and EXTREMELY powerful. It can simply blow the turret off the most heavily armoured tank at any range. Since it also fires at a high trajectory it can hide behind hills and in craters and is impossible to target itself. Am I the only person that feels this way? Should an IS-1 be able to deflect a Panther's shot 6+ times at 40 metres and should a Tiger be knocked out by a T34/57 at 80 metres? Russian developers = Russian faction bias? I look forward to an explanation. -Regards, teblin. Last edited by teblin; 06-18-2011 at 07:45 PM. |
