They did well, the Me 110, in Poland but in France they were easy targets even for the older fighters, Ms 406, H75, this planes had more problems with the bombers than the Me110.
In the battle of Britain, the Me 110 did become more or less obsolete. Escort was provided for them very early in the campaign. In Russia they were used has ground attack airplane.
In the game after many try the Me110 has always a very good rear gunner, speed advantage.
Also the Spitfire Mk I and Mk Ia do something very strange that they do not do in any other scenario, the rpm at first normal 2700 fall to less than 2200 in the first 15 seconds, never happens elsewhere. So my Spitfire does not climb at all.
