I don't think the roads do not look too wide, I flew an ask-23 today at around 350 metres altitude right above a 2 roads I was circling there so I had a lot of time to look at it .I didn't see any hedges, only tree lines on both sides of the road. although I don't see them on both sides quite often.
maybe I could post some pictures of roads seen from the air?
