Default Another great night of battles...

Another good night of battles.. I was as usual really sucking at dog fighting, but I am persistant and kept flying anyway.. Robotic Pope was hosting most of them tonight and graciously started hosting some of my favorites, CTA. A few in realistic, then a few in SIM. I was being slick and landed, and hid my LA-7 in-between a couple bunkers. This was in SIM, so I felt safe from seeking foe. I hear the rumble of an engine. Swung my head around and up and I see him.. It's FOZ.. Damn... I hope he didn't see me. He flew right over me. I watched. I noticed him rolling to the left. The roll continued until I could see him, nose down, coming right at me. I didn't have time to get rolling, because he was on a direct course at me. I knew then I was in trouble. He must have saw me. I scrambled to throttle up to get rolling. Suddenly, I was gone... I saw God...

On another game. I am not sure if it was Foz this time. But I was hidden on the ground again in SIM mode... It was very hazy, and hard to see. But sat there. Waiting for the ticker to start, but it wouldn't because they also had someone on the field.. We were in a holding pattern. I look to my left and I see a red band on a plane parked about 50 yards from me to the left.. I radioed for help, giving up this foe's position to my mates in the air. I was worried, because I was so close, I might be in danger calling in a strike this close to me.. I look back at the enemies plane, and was shocked. He saw me too. He turned his plane around and was rolling, heading right for me. I heard and saw the tracers coming from his guns as he rolled over towards me. I slammed my throttle all the way to the glare sheild. My LA-7 lunged forward and leapt out of his path. He missed me. I out smarted him. He missed me. I got so caught up in celebration for that slick escape, that I failed to noticed that my plane lifted off the ground. I could not leave yet. The field wasn't ours yet. I cut the throttle, and slammed my plane back down, hoping I was still close enough to the ground to just make it. I wasn't. I hit hard. I was on fire... I guess he got the last laugh again... Dammit..

It was fun as usual mates..
