do casualties in the training missions count as real casualties in the final record?

Do casualties in the training missions count as real casualties in the final record?

If it does, then it looks like I'm royally screwed... I read in a post (in another website's forum, my fault) that it doesn't, so I rushed through the training missions and didn't mind the casualties there. Now I'm already at Ellinia (day 5)... no casualties whatsoever... except for those in the training missions...

I don't mind redoing it, I still have the save game file at the start, and I might even shave off 1 day by doing the no-army-suicide trick from the travel from Islands of Freedom back to Darion (wasn't able to do that initially) to get a better score than what I would be getting if I continue now...

SO, could anyone confirm if the casualties during the training missions do count or not?
