really bad lag when playing multiplayer...

Hi:

When I play multiplayer my ping spikes up to 3-4 seconds at a time! Screen freezes and then runs and freeazes and runs etc.

The game plays fine standalone. My ping on ventrilo while shows 30ms to the host but MoW is lagging 3-4 sec the whole time.

Any ideas what the issue may be?
