Talking No comparison

Hey guys, just want to reiterate what has already been said on here. DON'T PLAY ARCADE if you can help it.

While I am not quite seasoned enough for Sim mode just yet, realistic is a blast. Why?
-People crashing all over the place, not to be a bad sport, just because they lose control.
-Less damage to get a kill, and more realistic hits.
-real skill matters, its not just who can turn the tightest for 15 minutes straight
-realistic speed means "ballet in the sky" vs. "turn 'n burn"

You owe it to yourself to play this game the way it was meant to be played. WWII aircraft don't turn on a dime or blaze through the sky, they dance in the clouds and this game does a magnificent job translating that.

Agree, but I dominate in arcade and fall into the average with realistic. They are both fun and bring something different to the table. I like all the modes

Really? I found the opposite to be true. I am much better in realistic AND the people you play with don't just crash every time they get hit like in Arcade...

ah well, to each his own

yes but I am having a problem with the planes not being realistic... you see if the p51 was modeled correctly I could boom and zoom all day with it. But since it is a slow tank, I find myself taking the spit or hurricane, and end up fighting the stalling more then my enemies, which is funny because I am a 1946 veteran and have been playing flight sims for over 20 years, yet I struggle for control of the planes often...I would prefer to fly the german planes, as they are my favorite, but since no cockpits yet I dont bother....also I hear they nerfed their performance too so whatever....everyones gonna be lying the i16s soon lol

Also, since I dont have the benefits of track ir and all the other computer goodies I find myself going what is the point of trying to play on sim when it cannot compete with the computers sim mode...guess im a little snobby that way.

But like I said, I have just as much fun in any of the modes, but I will say its definantly more satisfying to shoot somebody down in realistic mode and simulation mode than arcade mode.

I would love to play realistic more, but there just aren't the games/people willing to play. It's hard enough at times to find a game on arcade difficulty

But arcade is soon to going to be dominated by the I-153. I don't know if that plane is hugely unstable or what in realistic, but in arcade it is a joke. The only way to counter it is to fly far away and turn around - which is very, very boring IMO.

jeeze, playing flight sims for 20yrs, and you play arcade because you can dominate? give the noobs a break, its no fun getting your ass whipped from the old pros looking for easy kills.

I get my ass spanked on arcade (flying a 109) and that lead sight actually messes me up big time. Flying realistic and I do much better but I can only find arcade matches on dogfight (which is my least favorite). I've only been able to find one strike match which I enjoyed immensely. Man, I just wish I didn't have drill this weekend so I can try some more matches.

I'm having a blast in realistic. I would love to fly in sim but I can't find anyone. I just fly around looking for a target (in the sky & on the map). Maybe I need a bigger TV (or younger eyes).

What are you talking about? Turn and Burn is just a fast paced "ballet". That's what I always figured anyway?

And I think anyone with some flight capabilities can dominate in Arcade. But
I don't go near the thing.

Everybody should come join The Goat on sim mode. It takes a bit to get skilled at. (usually 10 games or so before you can compete) But once you do, there is no mode more gratifying.

Plus... This Goat gets lonely in sim.
