Default SLI and Windows 7 Support

Well for some time there SLI support in this game was iffy at best but with some of the recent Windows XP drivers it worked great.

Just upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit and now I'm suffering from the same problem before which is a constant pluse Studder in IL2. It's only related to SLI. Tried 4 different drivers and settings using Nhancer. The key before was to force SLI to run in Split Frame rendering which got rid of it the pluse studder that isn't the case now.

Also using the March DLLs didn't fix anything either.

Certainly hope 4.09 gets rid of it.

if you eventually got it working in XP with later gfx driver releases, i suspect your best hope will be that the same gradual fixes in the driver update cycle in win7 64bit will eventually correct this to (unless another user here has found some settings for a similar 64bit system which overcomes the same issue, which is presumably the purpose of your post)

looking at some of the recent posts from the people in 4.09 patch team, i dont think they have the competency in their team to address .dll issues or provided game optimizing bug fixes in their exe's. from what i can make out they mostly will provide some new objects, planes, and scenery

Sounds about right... Until then Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise come with an interesting option. I believe it's in RC right now so I will hold off but its called XP mode. Which means Win32 SP3 will run inside of Windows 7. Of course I'm a bit concerned about using some sort of virtual environment but heck DD2 pricing is pretty cheap. It might be a temp solution until I either go single card or the SLI drivers improve.
