I always thought it was quite fun to be half way through a take off run only to find someone coming in to land in the opposite direction.

Haha, I remember all the guys in our virtual airline company were playing private session matches together for fun, and we were doing bombing runs, where some of the other members would man the guns.

Anyway, getting to the point, we were flying in a formation of 10 bombers, now unfortunately I don't remember the name of the bomber, but it was big enough to carry a heavy payload, have gunners, and cannons for the pilot to score kills if possible.

We were flying in a Concorde formation pretty closely, and I happened to be top gunner on the second plane behind lead, so I got to see it all happen. Anyway, as we managed to survive our way to the bombing site, only loosing one of the planes rudder and engine, we were all preparing to drop our payload.

As soon as the lead dropped his payload you can see the bombs starting to fall out of his bay doors, just then there was a burst of gunfire from my bombers cannons.

The pilot franticly yelled, "Oh shit!" as the rounds of the cannons met with the cluster of bombs setting them off blowing all of us out of the sky in a dominos type effect. The pilot of my bomber then said, "Damnit, sorry guys, I thought that button was for my bombs, apperently it was for firing second cannons..."

We all had a pretty good laugh out of that as it also looked really awesome. Thats just one of the many stories I could share, just one of my favorites.

Lol

I would have loved to see that from the point of view of an enemy fighter. Was the plane you were flying the B25 Mitchell?

I once got strafed like three times by an allied fighter while taking off. Luckily I made it into the air, and showed him/her that I was an friendly.

Had a good one on Ace Combat 4 once....

A friend of mine and I are playing split screen. The level starts you off head to head at the same altitude with a tower in the middle. While I went high he went low and I dropped a 500lb bomb right on his cockpit. All you heard was my laughter and the narators voice: "pickle".

On the take-off strip waiting for my turn. The guy behind decides that it's time to go and promptly crashes in to the back of me (a lot of dust from the plane in front obscured his view he said).

On taking off the guy behind decides to test his guns and blows me up.
