Default Game Process Stops Immediately Upon Launch

Hello,

I recently purchased the Atari disk version of KB, and, as the title states, I cannot run the game.

I click the icon, and the process begins. I sometimes see the spinny cd icon come up in place of my cursor. Then, my cursor defaults to the center of my display, and the process ends.

I've solved the problem.

I think it had to do with running a dual-display setup.

In the game.ini file, I changed the following settings:

setf ~windowed 0 to 1
setf ~r_vsync 0 to 1
setf ~r_use_adapter 0 to 1

After doing that, the game ran fine in a window on my primary display.

Hope this helps someone.

I have the exact same problem, though I'm a vista user. I changed some of the info in the game.ini file, as you directed, and the issue remains. This is quite annoying

I have similar problem..

I did what you did and another error popped up...

Application aborted!
.\BMRender\mode.cpp(1085): DirectX call failed: -1, -1, D3DERR_INVALIDCALL (The method call is invalid. For example, a method's parameter may not be a valid pointer)

I hope this is just because of my lack of video card power...I'm buying a new video card next week.. But only before someone confirms to be that I can play this game with a better video card.. (8600GT..a mod told me that it is good enough)

This are my system configurations: Video card is pending..but will probably be 8600GT) can mods confirm if i can play?
