After 20 hours constant crashes

Weird..

I played nearly 20 hours without any issue. Now the game crashes every 2-3 hours, resulting in a black screen (monitor signals no picture at all), no chance to get back to the desktop.

Windows XP SP3
GeForce 8800 GTX (happens with 175.19 and 178.13)
DualCore 6600
2 GB RAM
Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS

Happens with mods (Interface and camera zoom) and without.

Have the same problem, it crashes every now and then, usually happens in battles though, not while roaming the map.

For me its both adventure and battle..
