Default F4F "Martlet" for Battle of Britain - arguments here...

Hi pilots,
We need F4F "Martlet" for Battle of Britain - Britain have used them well!
..............
Royal Navy
The F4F was taken on by the British Fleet Air Arm as part of an interim replacement for the Fairey Fulmar; navalised Supermarine Spitfires not being available because of the greater need of the Royal Air Force.[5] In the European theater, the Wildcat scored its first combat victory on Christmas Day 1940, when a land-based Martlet (as the type was then known in British service) destroyed a Junkers Ju 88 bomber over the Scapa Flow naval base.[6] This was the first combat victory by a US-built fighter in British service in World War II.[6] The type also pioneered combat operations from the smaller escort carriers.[7]
Six Martlets went to sea aboard the converted ex-German merchant vessel HMS Audacity in mid-1941 and shot down several Luftwaffe Fw 200 Condor bombers during highly effective convoy escort operations.[8] These were the first of many Wildcats to see shipboard combat. The Fleet Air Arm was later to abandon the practice of using its own unique names for US-provided aircraft in British naval service, and began to use the U.S. Navy's aircraft names instead.[9]
The MK.III variant was not equipped with folding wings and was only used for land-based operations.
......

Oleg nice Ju-87! But would we get F4F?

Regards,

Thumbs down

Neg, sorry. The Martlett is not relevant in a BoB environment and - if I may point that out - we still have no real information on the actual model of the relevant fighter types (Spit, Hurri, Bf 109 E). I'd rather have the relevant types instead of diluting SoW with oddities and non-representative types (again).

Well...you are right csThor, but many other aircrafts are included: Bf-108, Avro Anson, which I believe did not shot any bullet in to the battle, but they are included...Hmmmm...and I have read that no any Italian built Fiat fighter have shot any RAF aircraft in to the Battle of Britain...strange, but Italian Fiats are included too...is this "Battle" or aircraft review...

The aircraft list at initial release is already decided.

Put your arguments together for add-ons and expansions.

Anyway...I personally would like to fly Fw-200 Condor...may be some day Oleg will include it in to the set of flyable aircrafts. F4F "Martlet" with small aircraft carrier + "Swordfishes" - it will be nice for BoB! Aircraft carriers will miss me...I believe BoB will rule the world of aircraft simulators for +20 years and beyond. If Oleg does not include aircraft carrier now...it will be sad. But there is many time till BoB is ready - who knows...

Oleg has stated numerous times that they plan on going around all the fronts eventually just like they did with IL2.

S!

I am pretty sure the Martlett was produced by the same American Corporation that now sues anyone that uses likenesses of their WWII in a game for outrageous royalties ???

If so do not get your hopes up.

if Oleg isnt putting the Spit mkIIa in SOW (should be in there) then theres no chance that the F4F will make it.
