Default Is the game playable?

Have the major bugs been fixed? I would like to play the game, but i won't start over at every new patch...

Playable yes, but there are still some major bugs going around, so you might want to wait another week or two if you want to be sure nothing comes up that can't be fixed without a new game.

Let's see what the new patch will fix.

I played for roughly ten hours, and it was "playable", but bugs were just too many, so it was pointless to continue and maybe find broken quests. I will wait for another patch.

I beg to differ. I'm a pretty hardcore KB fan. Yes, I did beat it with build 6246 with an original release saved game.

However, I had to use some user-patches mid-game (then removed them when the patches fixed them), could NOT finish all quests, had some weird behavior, and had a lot of game breaking balance issues too.

Even now there are some oddities that I can't quite say "yeah they intended for this" because they are such strange bugs / features now.

If I was just an average user, I would have quit eons ago. Restarting saved games? Yes, I realize they are willing to fix/patch people's saved games on the fly but it isn't well communicated nor is it done all the time. Yes, I know how to play the game so I know work arounds.

I loved Armored Princess to death, but Warriors of the North's initial release was done quite poorly. It is a potentially fantastic game, but some of these bugs are a little absurd especially since they aren't detailing "what" is being fixed in said patches.

"Pygmy fixed". Oh, so that means Pygmy was meant to let you kill a stack in one shot? <shrugs>.

Too bad this game is so bugged; because quests and dialogs are very funny, the viking race is awesome and skald is by far the most customizable class of the all kb saga. The few hours i played left me the impression of a great game, despite all its bugs.
