I cant make smooth ZOOM change in my Saitek Profiler beacuse simply fact is that it doesnt have stupid mouse up and down function. I dont want to use any other joystick software to make it work. Im sure it would be easy to make it normal way by 1C like in other sims expecially such fuction exist in game just someone incompetency make it stupid way.

Other stupid thing for me is " loosen belts " which casue less head movement during G manouvers. Cant imagine that figher pilot during combat try to loseen belts for a second for better aiming then i a second make it tight to get better view. I wonder who got such stupid idea.

Still FM for planes is unfinished, poor high alts performacne, planes dont reach their maximum service celling and still bugs with Merlin engines ( RPMs jerrking at some alts, not historical power settings for Merlin XII).

Still planes visibility and dissapering at short disctance wasn't fixed.

Still online gameplay is not smooth, there are a lot of stutters ( beta RC 2 was more smooth for me)

Thats why i think 1C relased too quick final patch not fixing these things. I was really shocked that they relase such quick final patch after RC2. They just give up it too early and want we will wait year or two years for maby fixing these things.

It would be really better for 1C to safe some resources to fix most annoying bugs and things in CLOD before BOM realase.

Sry but im so dissapointment with still unfinished game and 1C decision to not make any patch before BOM

How are you accomplishing the zoom?
I'm still looking for an axis and not buttons.
The only way I understand this can be done is with 3rd party software that allows you to assign buttons or axis control to the mouse axis. And it still requires a modifier button otherwise this would affect your mouse in the cockpit.

It's ridiculous to have to go through all this to get a basic command that all other flight sims have. It leaves me with no confidence in 1Cs ability to develop anything correctly since they can't get this right.

What makes you think that the devs that couldnt put CLoD together, after over a year, will have any more luck with the next game? Ever think they just dont know how? I personally do. I dont think they are capable to making a working game.

Very true. I really can't grasp, not at all, where this fantatic faith regarding BoM, and how it will fix everything, even be able to brew you an 1-A cup of coffee and give you a good massage in long transfer flights, is coming from...

If I had such great, believing disciples when implementing my plans to be the benevolent dictator of Europe, this will become a real cakewalk!

Losen belts is realy the worst idea ever and is claimed by me in bugtracker, which noone of the team is looking at,, i think.

That is alsi a big topic, that my whole old squadron claims and one of the biggest reasons, that we do not play clod anymore competitively against other squadrons. I know dozes over dozens of pilots, who do not play clod under these circumstances. That is poor!!

Sorry Chivas I don't agree with you, they will have to do something to win back the trust and a time limited demo (or an open beta) would be the way to go. Microsoft has time limited betas for some software so where is the problem.
You have also stated that we should go on reviews by those that we trust with the sequel, who do we trust?. A lot of those posting in the forums could be classed as "fan boys", I certainly wouldn't trust their opinions. After seeing how the supporters of the Il2 series have been hung out to dry with the C.o.D. I certainly won't trust the developers with the sequel without proof, their specs will no longer mean anything to those who have waited 18 months only to be told that C.o.D. is finished.

SHOW US THE PROOF

Microsoft can afford to have all the demos it would like. The new IL-2 developement has neither the time or the money to waste on a Demo. I didn't say to trust fanboy reviews, I said find one you could trust, maybe check out the reviewers that gave COD poor reviews last time and see if things have changed. Its all common sense, use it. There will be plenty of reviews, you should be able to figure it out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think that the new Il2 development can afford not to, at least it would give the team a wider base to find the faults before releasing the sequel to the public.
Give us an open beta or a playable time limited demo, either will be better than nothing. What do you have against that type of system apart from cost to the team? (it may end up being more benificial than not).
Is it that your'e worried that the result would mean the demise of the current Il2 series? or that too many faults would be found delaying further the release of the sequel.
Better to find most of the problems before another disaster hits, it would also get the community involved and supportive of the sequels (don't think that there won't be problems with the sequel, after 18 months of development with C.o.D. there are still problems that haven't been addressed).
With a new GUI and probably a revamped engine people will hold back and wait to see what has happened with the sequel, (not excactly what the developers and the investors would want) nobody in their right mind will jump in this time without some proof.

The reviewers that gave their opinions on C.o.D. certainly didn't find the problems that arose after release, certainly not things like CTD's, no dx9 support, no Sli/ Xfire support etc. The lack of dx9 support also ment no xp support (or problems with it). Now we have the problem of Windows 8. It is obvious from the lack of communication from the developers that we now have two sets of windows (xp and 8 ) that currently aren't considered worth the trouble.
Dear o dear how much worse can things get??.

I don't have anything against having a demo. It wouldn't bother me one way or the other. There will be more than enough info after release for me to make a valued decision either way. I'm just saying its highly unlikely the publishers will spend the time and money on a demo. The series is way too far in debt to even think about spending more unnecessary money, for something very few people will need, to make their decision.

Quite a strange opinion. People want to see a demo and you argue that "there is no money for an unnecessary demo"? If anything, then this argument puts people off in droves... I mean, MG may not want to put out a demo, sure, but they shouldn't use *THAT* argument; under no circumstances...
