Default Problems that I haven't seen mentioned

I was wondering if there had been any mention of these problems on the forum, they're the worst problems with the game (in my opinion of course!).

- Low framerate near enemy planes on MP. This makes the game unplayable, I can't shoot down a foe with under 5fps. In singleplayer I have no such issue, even vs 10-20 aircraft!

- Loadout options have no effect in SinglePlayer. They do nothing, particularly frustrating as I can only play SinglePlayer due to the above problem.

- Texture LODs are inverted, leading to very low performance at higher altitudes, very frustrating problem.

- Clouds, despite looking like the old 2D il2 clouds, they absolutely destroy performance.

I find it interesting that so many graphical options have been flat out removed, why not give them options in the graphics menu, reflections for instance.

What do you expect by a ping of nearly 200 by some player?

Umm... ping and frame rate... no connection there. High ping is observed as lag(planes jumping around), not as low fps.

I too suffer from the OP's low-fps-near-enemy -problem, otherwise I have about 40-50fps on medium settings. Friendly planes don't have this effect. Can have several friendlies at close distance without any noticeable drop in fps.

Strangely enough the fps decreases dramatically only online, for some reason ping and fps appear to be closely intertwined in Cliffs of Dover. I have no idea why, I've never seen this in any other game!

S!

Put up an issue about the low-fps-near-enemy on the bug tracker:
