i think the devs should retreat back to modding. You might make a damn good mod for DCS if you get your cards in order. professional quality payware mod for dcs with standards dictated by another source. what better design remit could there be for a clearly struggling flightsimming development company seeking a product to full fill a communites appetite.

seriously, you might actually make some money over on that side of flightsimming in a more unique way, and i as a customer could be assured of the quality i desire. i realise this sounds offensive, it initially might have been but seriously its not. its actually a viable source for you guys to do somthing of great quality work with income. and it could prove to be more beneficial for your company name in general. the facts or reality is that not many around here are getting what they desire and it works both ways, un-desirable feedback is naturally un-desirable. surely those in the face of the feedback must want to change that. and thats simply enough said on that. so please dont take it as an insult, make your mark on the flightsimming world in another way. its just another idea. and to appease the situation somewhat i must say i cant think of a better developed mod in the ww2 realms as one from you guys. i actually believe that could be a fact. so whilst i may appear to be insulting your company. a group like yours could/should have many many options outwith your own monkey sphere (loosly termed).

[QUOTE=SEE;436814]I will purchase the sequel and think that the next official update will be important in terms of how well it addresses many of the issues that have undermined CloD - I would rather wait than have a sub standard release.

You are going to get a sub standard release either way

SNAFU…seriously, being cautious about leaking information or carful not to over promise is one thing but this update is nothing and the community is obviously desperate for something.

Luthier, wake up and get in the game!!! I think the developers may be thinking that all will be forgiven and forgotten once BOM in all its glory is released. That may be true for a very small group of IL-2 loyalists (and that group is getting smaller all the time), but the majority here are going to remember that once the sequel is released it will take months if not years to fix the bugs with very little communication along the way. I have never had an issue getting the game to run properly…relatively speaking. I am also 100 percent SP like many here. And like many here I was thrilled with the release of the last “alpha” patch…but really didn’t see much of a difference. The AI still sucks, the FM are mostly inaccurate, and there are many features that are still either very flawed, broken or missing all together. I can’t play the game for more than a few minutes before seeing or hearing something that makes me click “Quit”. Like the Hurricane’s laser beam tracers or the sound of the guns inside the Brit fighters. Or the twitching wings of the AI? What happened to the glorious new sounds Luthier gushed over? Why can’t we easily record a mission and play it back? Why can’t we toggle icons? Why don’t all the radio comms work? And on and on and on. The BOM images look good but to my eyes they don’t look that much better than IL-2. So 1C is going to introduce a new, buggy version or IL-2 with slightly better images that will take months / years to sort out and with fewer features. Yeah…sign me up!!! I’d like to see the business plan behind that strategy?

Out.

Pathetic really isn't it??
The only pathetic here is the whining of patienceless people!

If the patch doesn't comes next week then mabe the week after.

The real life gives soo much more fun as a computer game, which could be written of as bad experience after all, if it comes to the worst case.

As long as the devs are still working on it, nothing is lost.

I see the ban hammer coming down on some of these posts. Why people think they have the right to personally attack posts is beyond me, if you are pleased with the game that's fine and if you are not pleased that's also fine. Everyone has the right to say what they think without someone else's interference. The Mods will sort the posts out if they are not happy with them.

I'm wondering how many years of waiting and millions of words will be expended here before they can get themselves sorted out. That being the sort of expenditure required, I think the price of this sequel is going to be much too high.

A fair comment, Robtek, but I think the problem is that people are beginning to suspect it isn't being worked on. lol

So, where's your limit. If they still say "working on it" on a friday of November 2015 will you still say "hoooray"?

Cup half full Dept. : I can wait a bitlonger to see if this patch will allow me to keep what I've got PC Wise, since it might increase FPS or have to invest in a new Graphics card & who knows what else. Its the same holding pattern I've been in for the past year...sigh...
But thanks Black 6 for the screenies!
