I've been trying to find a new chair that is height adjustable and doesn't swivel, so that I can use it with my rudder pedals.
I've been using a dining chair for a few years and it's not very comfortable. Today I found this. Nice little project for this weekend. http://www.rogerdodger.net/videos/rudder_staythere.html It might not completely stop the swiveling but it's much better solution than the dining chair. |

That reminds me. I had a cunning plan at one time to use my swivel chair for rudder control, using an old gamepad as input, rigged somehow to move a joystick as the chair turned. I never tried it, and I suspect it might be awkward to use in combination with TrackIR. If I wanted to apply left rudder and look to the right, or vice-versa, I'd end up with a twisted neck...

I just did something simpler I took a piece of cardboard and cut a small slot on one half then folded in half, set chair on slot, chair doesnt move.
