Default Newb question

Hi there,

been playing MoW (yes, the first game) for 40 hours now.... can't figure something out...

There are soldiers who just seem to go and do their own thing and sometimes the cursor turns into a hand and I can add them to my squad. I can't figure out what I did to allow me to add soldiers to my squad... how???

Is it something that the game decides for me, or is it something I did to enable it?

Does it have something to do with squad leaders?

Then in some missions there are soldiers that just sit way back away from the action and I can't move them or bring them in.

Thanks... I love this game!!!!!

The game does decide it for you. Most of the time, you can't 'recruit' allied soldiers but when you can, a tool tip will appear.

Too bad it doesn't depend on if the recruiting soldier is a squad leader (or which has gained enough experience).

No possibility of that eh?
