New ingame music

hmm to see if it might help with performance i decided to completely reinstall CLOD. I let steam remove it and then downloaded again. When the download was ready i wanted to install it again, but when the window opened to allow installation i remembered i wanted to do something else first so i clicked no´. To my suprise the game launched though i presse4d no and when i came to the mainscreen i notice a different backround music. Not this stupid music with the drums beginning but a very nice song with piano and strings. Then i quit game, becausei wanted to have it installed correctly ( press ok in install screen). After doing this (steam installed a little stuff, no idea what, was very short) the old backroundmusic was back. Where has the new one gone? i dont get it......

The dumb German music is called Bomben auf Engeland

If your last plane is a brit, you will get the piano music on start. Does any one know what the songs name is?

By default there are 2 different background themes that are selected by random. There is now a folder where the background themes are located so you can remove them or add your own.

i honestly didnt facy the piano thing... i plan to change that for something from BOB movie, and replace the bomb auf engaland with the original.

Gamekeeper was kind enough to let me upload two zip packages with a total of 74 music files at the download section of http://airwarfare.com/sow/index.php

The files are of the era or with WWII theme and are ready to be used as soon as you extract them. I currently have ALL 74 files in the Users "music" folder and they play in random and continuously in the main screen and most submenus screens. If you would like to do that, back up and DELETE the two music files from the Main (not user) "music" folder.

Out of curiosity I left the main screen on for about two hours and it played 21 from those files with ONLY three repetitions!!

Currently, the FMB does not read .ogg files but the name of the file can be input manually. I have managed to get a file playing in the PLAYER briefing in Quick Mission and Single mission environment but only if you don't customize that mission. It looks that you can have sound files attached to all short of briefing sections and a few playing type options too.

I am looking forward when the connection of sound files to the mission briefings is fully activated.

Ive got both Bomben auf England and the Theme from the Battle of Britain in .ogg format if anyone is interested. Sounds much, much better...
