S!

As above..waiting for 2012 and the new cards from both brands. Also this gives precious time for CoD to mature a bit more.

Love my EVGA GTX580sc, only 1.5gb but find the game VERY well. Averages above 50fps at all times.

Just finished a budget upgrade. Went from e6600@3.4 ghz to i2500k at stock for now and from 8800gts to a regular gtx570. If money was no object I would've gone for a GTX580 3gb.

You might wanna throw in another harddisc or two someday or other components drawing extra power, even USB units. There is really no point running a system on the edge.

Personally i'm using the Corsair HX850 Modular unit.
well I have the power-meter (wattmeter) for PC....you cant beat that ...surprise surprise...btw even if its true (with PSU streching) by then (when my "components degrade) it will be time for new rig...

GTX580 all day. The only reason I decided to go with my GTX560 Ti 2Gb was because I was on a budget. I've got it OC'd up to 977 core clock, 1954 shader clock, and 2205 memory clock. Runs the game very well, only dipping down to about 27-28 fps minimum over land with around 20-25 planes in the sky. A very good buy considering it's almost half the price of the 580. But never-the-less I would very much like to get my hands on one.

Also, I went with a SilverStone 750w PSU. Extremely good quality, 100% modular, and was only $20 more than the standard Corsair 750w at $130 USD. Highly recommended.

Guys thank you so much for your thoughts, I have now decided and ordered a 580 3gb. It is a Gigabyte card, not the fastest around in the class but better priced at £420...if i do not get any betterment over my 480 it is all your fault...
