Default Battle Area (Grid)

How do you get the Battle Area to cover the entire map so that you can reference your location by Grid in the in-game map? Thanks

In FMB you get the X/Y of cursor position in the bottom bar. Perhaps using this at the map extremities and noting the data might give a clue to the value required.

Easy way map a Key for it (in Options Keys Editor -> Battle Area).
Press the key (and left mouse-button) in FMB and make your Battle Area with the mouse. After this enter a value for the sector (I prefer 25000 old il2 was 10000).

Groan !! .... How do you guys know this stuff when there's no FMB documentation? Is it just trial & error? Thankyou for the continued tips.
