Not sure if anyone posted about this or not, but if you're finding the contrast on the dash too high (at least in the spitfire) turn up the instrumentation lighting. There are two little dials behind the control column in the Spit that will raise the lights and are analog. I turn em up to 60% or so and the dash looks just fine if the lighting makes it hard to see.

Not sure if there's an equivalent option in the 109 or 110.

There is in 109 too, but that is not a solution, in fact its a "problem". I don´t think in day light turning on that bulb light were seen at all in reality. Try to turn on your inside car light at midday and you will see.

What you see as a "problem" I see as a way for people who like the darker contrast to co-exist with the people who like the lighter contrast while playing the same game.

Hell, if the option was simply moved into the config options as a slider for 'dash contrast' people would probably be quite happy! But since the way to control it is supposedly part of the plane itself, people are going to complain? I'd rather the devs move on than spend more time on this if there is already a valid way to select the contrast you like. Which, it seems to me, there is.

Some people perceive reality more visualy. I didn't care much for the sounds, as sound for me is just feedback, if the machineguns are making noise, they are firing, ok for me. But I understand others hope to hear a lot better sound, ok, it's not important to me, but I understand them and do agree that the new sounds are much better.
Now some of us expect a bit more of quality to the lights.
Those who think the new cockpit is looking good, are caring just about readability of the gauges. I see this new contrast, as when amateur people adjust contrast in pictures to use in their social websites.
The red and green lights feel totally unnatural. As does the cockpit light. Optics seem too incoherent to many of us.
Is this problem less important then comms and AI? For sure!
But the patch's read me said they were changing the colours, among other topics, so we have to discuss these things.
When they say "ok, we changed comms and AI", then we discuss about that.

New cockpit colors are too vibrant. The duller, flat look was more like the cockpits I have seen in real life. Is this hard coded in or can it be modded back to the original?

To me the new colors are more console game where before they were more sim.

What's the problem with turning on my inside car light on midday? I could do that any time...
Voted "New colors" without further thinking, just as promised. There's no way I'll let you guys ruin the bug fixing priorities any more.
If you got problems with seeing instrumentation, buy some stronger contact lenses so you will be able to see out to your cola-bottle-bottom glasses, please!

See? It seems you don't visualize what you read.
