Problems installing the patch

Need advice on how to istall the patch! Where to unzip? Currently the game does not launch after unziping to main folder!!!...yes I have cleared the cache

Go to C:program files/steam/steamapps/common/il2clod and be sure to over write all. Also make sure cloud sync is off in your steam settings.

Right click on the zip file, click on properties, check Unblock, then extract all the files to your main folder. This worked for me and many others, I don't remember who originally posted this fix. For some reason not all the files are going to the main folder if you don't Unblock.

Download '7-zip' and use this to install.

I used to have problems with both winzip and winrar but (touching wood) have not had one with 7-zip
