In a recent post, I read that SSD seem to reduce the stuttering. Would two SSD in Raid 0 help reduce the stutters even more? As you can see I am trying to build the ultimate COD rig. I wonder what equipements (chip, video card, ram...) the guys at Maddox Games used to design COD? Thanks

From what I read raid 0(versus single larger ssd) might be faster on paper but you may not notice it from the keyboard.
Also you lose the TRIM function with raid. http://www.windowsitpro.com/article/...-it-important- |

Yeah you won't have trim.

Thanks Troll2k, I did not know that. Another question, should I go P67 or X58. X58 seem better but the second generation P67 extreme 6 ??? Thanks.

RAID 0 is significantly faster than a single drive. Both P67 and X58 will do just fine, but I'd wait few months for the next generation LGA2011/X79 boards.
The only thing that will reduce stuttering will be more efficient COD programming - wait for the patch ![]() Last edited by roadczar; 08-31-2011 at 11:57 AM. |

Thank you very much roadczar. I can wait a few more months for X79. It will be even better.
