I'm not trying to flame here Jason. I'm just asking. I think its a viable question. What are the numbers compared to IL2? You didn't answer.

I know F4 blows online. LOMAC isn't that great, I fly it btw. The others I'm going to have to take an educated guess at and say they don't even have a quarter of the numbers IL2 has online. I truely believe the one of the reasons IL2 remained so popular online is because people could fairly assume that there was not a plague of cheating going on because of mods/hacks.

Sniper,I am also not trying to flame here,so please do not take it as such: I have not seen a decrease in the players in hyperlobby since this started. There still seems to be a 1000 or so online when I fly.
Its a valid point though, does anyone think there has been a decrease online?

A bit farfetched assumption! You must have an interest or curiosity for the hardware of that (WWII) era in order to buy and choose to play this sim on the hyperlobby. A normal night, like tonight (just checked!) we have about 350 in game and 100 in chat in Hyperlobby.

then yes, it has become non-existant.
This is the very definition of an Alarmist. Show me someone that can prove that Checksum=2 doesn´t work, and I´ll agree. Till then that statemente is a LIE.

The scary thing is how people sound like fundamentalist when talking about a GAME.
The best WWII sim ever, yes.. but still a game....

Respect the creator! come on! he has my money and a succesfull buisnes...
And I bet that is what he wants, not global adoration .

Respect HIS LAW! come ON; this is a joke right?

All these idiots running around...like chickens with their heads cut off....shouting..."the game is ruined!...the on-line is ruined"

maybe it is ruined for you..... but do not think you speak for all.....

pretending YOU are the voice of the whole community......

what stupid egotistical behaviour.....typically the ones with the biggest egos are those in the Dogfighting servers..... always looking for ...kills....points.....winning

....grow up.....there is more to life than that

it is because of all these ego problems that the world will never know peace

I didn't mean to say that there is currently a decrease online for IL2. I am afraid, however, if things continue the way they seem to be with no quality control or real server protection IL2 will end up as dead as those games mentioned, online.

Not to take sides, but I believe there is more than just one person voicing their concern so that statement of yours is quite unfair.

Hey Baco

Did you and Ahmadinejad grow up sharing the same glue?

"Show me someone that can prove that Checksum=2 doesn´t work, and I´ll agree. Till then that statemente is a LIE."

Just because you haven't bothered to educate yourself, doesn't make it a "LIE".

Its already been proven that Checkruntime=2 does not work at preventing mods and cheats in online servers.

There have already been ntrks posted here and elsewhere with proof of this. You might want to read the earlier posts by Santa Claus, including the one about sticking heads in the snow.

Players both for and against mods have already acknowledged that if someone wanted to cheat in a crt=2 room they can. This includes the mod makers at the forum that isn't mentioned. The subject of modding a stronger checkruntime has already been discussed. <- If it can't be beat, why do we need a better one? Even Oleg himself has commented about this subject with regards to thanking those who have ruined online play.

The question for many onliners is...
Will there be a better server side checkruntime in 4.09 IF it is released?

compared to the number of users....those complaining that THEIR game has been ruined (not THE game has been ruined) may be the noisiest here....but they actually represent a tiny fraction
