Default Throttle control not working

I have a MS SW2 AND a MSSW FFB joystick, and they both work in CoD with the exception that the dial just to the left of the stick that typically defaults to throttle control does not work on either stick.

It does not work in default as I recall it did in Il-2, and when I go into the controls menu to try to assign it it does not seem to register in the dialog box where the joystick buttons can be assigned to functions.

I am using Win7 64, and in the game controller menu the control is working fine for both sticks.

Anyone else having this problem? Suggestions?

My throttle works great. Weird it works in game controls but not in game.

Does it work by default or do you have to assign the throttle control manually?

Nope.
You need to assign it under an axis, and not under keys/buttons. There is a separate tab for 'axes'.

Also as nobody seems to answer my questions in my threads I'm going to throw this question in every FFB thread there is until I get an answer....
Can you test the FFB cannon shake on the bf109 and the bf110 and let me know if the bf109 is much stronger?

Thanks for the advice, I needed to go to the 'axes' tab. Give me a bit of time and I will test out your cannon shake with the FFB stick. I need to get it out of the basement, probably tomorrow. It works but is pretty worn out...
