Flickering shadows only happen in cockpit view. From external camera view they look perfect. I read in these forums that it was a measure taken some patches ago to increase performance: trees an building shadows seen from cockpit view are low-res, the low resolution is what causes the flickering.

Does someone know if it is possible to increase the shadow resolution in cockpit view?

This is not how it works for me- when i go external view it still flickers like crazy. It's really noticeable when i play the Black Death track

No I Think it is universal. I am sure it is on the list of things to fix.

Absolutely no flickering cloud shadows for me Barely noticable shimmer to tree shadows. Only real problem is flying through clouds when effect is a bit like looking at an old TV picture that flickers horizontally. I think that is unrelated to shadows on ground and more to do with the prop effect they put back into the game.

Edit - Just installed latest nVidia driver and tree shadow shimmer almost completely gone - have to stare hard to see it. Prop flicker in clouds better but still there.
